In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, it’s easy to feel like a relic of the past when you’re still championing a product or service that some might deem obsolete. But let’s take a moment to embrace our inner dinosaurs and reflect on why standing the test of time isn’t always a tale of extinction, but rather a mark of resilience and enduring value.
As a long time integration specialist, I am proudly proclaiming my unwavering support for BizTalk, despite -perhaps even because of- it being declared a relic of a bygone era. Yes, you heard that right—I’m embracing my dino-status!
Like those awe inspiring creatures of old, BizTalk has a legacy that stretches back through the annals of time. Much like the stegosaurus or the triceratops, it has qualities that have stood the test of time. First and foremost, let’s talk about reliability. Just as the T-Rex ruled the Cretaceous period, BizTalk has been a stalwart companion for many companies through thick and thin during the last two decades. Its robustness and dependability have weathered storms that would have sent lesser technologies scurrying for cover.
But my commitment to BizTalk goes beyond mere nostalgia or sentimentality. Like the mighty sauropods grazing in prehistoric forests, it has a reach that extends far beyond what meets the eye. Its impact on you, my customers’, integrations, workflows, and bottom lines is profound and enduring.
Of course, we’re not blind to the changes happening around us. We’ve all heard the murmurs about BizTalk being a relic of a bygone era, as quaint and outdated as a brontosaurus in the age of space travel. And yes, we acknowledge that even the strongest dinosaur must eventually face its sunset.
With the understanding that all good things must come to an end, we recognize that BizTalk will reach its End of Life (EOL) date in 2030. But even as we acknowledge this inevitable conclusion, we remain steadfast in our support and commitment. To the naysayers, I say this: dinosaurs may have disappeared from the face of the Earth, but they left behind a legacy that continues to shape the world to this day. And so too shall BizTalk.
I’m not content to rest on my laurels and let BizTalk fade into obscurity. Instead, I’m embracing my dino-status as a badge of honour, a symbol of endurance and adaptability in an ever-changing world.
In the coming months and years, you’ll see me honouring my commitment to BizTalk, ensuring that it remains a relevant and reliable platform, in your companies’ modern technological landscape, while also supporting your migration at your pace.
So here’s to the dinosaurs—to the relics of a bygone era who continue to defy expectations and remind us that sometimes, the old ways are the best ways. And here’s to BizTalk, our very own Jurassic giant, still standing tall in a world that’s constantly changing.
Long live the dinosaurs. Long live BizTalk.
